Hidden Valley Bushcraft believe that the collective knowledge and skills of our ancestors should be passed down for the benefit of future generations. All of our sessions are based in the private woodland, nestled into the picturesque Chew Valley in Bristol.

WORKSHOPS FOR CHILDREN

Hidden Valley workshops run throughout the year and are adaptable for children of all ages, including the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to Key Stage 4 (KS4).

Our instructors have bushcraft and/or forest school qualifications and enhanced DBS checks.

Inspiring children to learn and develop through nature based activities, while increasing their self-confidence, self-esteem and social skills, our activities can be easily linked to the national curriculum.

Workshops are run in a fun and relaxing manner with an emphasis on learning through practical experience.

Each session follows a particular theme and can link to a varied range of topics like: primitive technologies, making fire and cooking bread over the campfire are all excellent ways to bring a Stone Age topic to life, for example. Other examples  include rocks and geology, wheels and design, the life cycle of a mammal and growth and decay.

If you have a particular classroom topic in mind, please do get in touch and we can tailor the workshops to your requirements. We are also able to provide mobile workshops at a location of your choice.
